TRYING SOMETHING NEW | DAY 4 OF 90

Eating the same thing can get old very quickly for a lot of people, but that doesn’t happen to me. If I like something, I can eat it ALL THE TIME. Ramen is a case in point. However, eating the same thing, especially ramen all the time is not very healthy. Our body needs different nutrients to thrive, and based on my body type, eating a lot of ramen is actually very bad for me. High carb, high sodium, low protein… you get what I am talking about.

On a recent trip to Costco, we bought some Beyond Burgers to test them out.

I didn’t think much of these frozen burgers when we first got them. I thought they were overpriced and looked like freezer burnt meat patties. It was $14.99 for a box of 8 quarter pounders, which is about twice the cost of real beef burgers. I was curious to see how it tastes and what the texture was like, so I made one for dinner yesterday.

My verdict: Great tasting burger with a much better texture than the traditional veggie burgers. Although a Big Tom’s burger with Goop from one of my favorite burger joints in town still has a special place in my heart, but if I could help not kill a cow while satisfy my burger craving, then I am all for it.

Here is the calorie count and marcos breakdown of my Beyond Burger dinner:
