I love pizza. Let me say it again, I LOVE PIZZA! So, it was very fitting that I had pizza as my first “cure my cravings” meal.
I don’t like the phrase “cheat meal”. It makes me feel like I am doing something I am not supposed to do, like cheating on my challenge. I want to feel positive about this journey, and “cheat meal” just doesn’t fit the bill. Instead, I call it “cure my cravings” meal. Sure, we all have cravings, but to give in to our cravings all the time is not very healthy or productive. I cure my cravings once a week, that way I feel good about not falling off the track, and I also get to eat what I want and as much as I want (within reason of course).
Will that set me back in my progress?
Sure, I will gain a few ounces or even a pound the next day, but that can be easily taken off with proper nutrition and consistent workouts through the next few day.
Why do it?
It makes me feel that I am in control, and I am not depriving myself of ANYTHING. It makes me happy, therefore, I will stay on track.
I am doing the challenge to become heathier, more fit and most of all to be HAPPY. Homemade pizza on Friday night made this girl VERY HAPPY!
