I am not gonna lie… it’s been hard to keep up with the “blogging everyday” goal. However, on a more positive note, I am doing well with my weight loss goal. As of today, I have lost 4.4 pounds and 0.2% body fat.
What have I been eating?
- I have been eating an average of 1,645 calories per day
- My average macros breakdown is 22% protein, 40% carbs and 38% fat
- I have not deprived myself of any food such as sweets, pizza, ramen and wine
- I am conscious of portion size with everything I ate
What did I do for exercise?
I didn’t really get into exercising until the 13th day of the challenge. I did two 30-minute sessions of Tae Bo before bed during the 2nd and 4th day, then I stopped. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to work out. I wanted to, but I was paralyzed by the desire to lose weight and the fear of not losing it all at the same time. I know, it sounds like crazy talk, but trust me, it was true. My weight was bouncing back and forth, and the progress was very slow and unsteady. I finally decided that I must get off my ass and work out in order to actually lose the weight and gain muscles as I intended to do. So, since May 23rd, I have been doing 30-minute Tae Bo sessions first thing in the morning, EVERY morning.
How do I feel?
My body starts to ache this week. This is a reminder that I am doing something good for it. I am satisfied with my progress, although I still have the fear of not be able to lose the weight, but I do my best to tuck that fear away and focus on the task at hand, which is to eat healthy and work out every day.
I received my new kettlebell this morning. I am excited to add a 10-minute kettlebell workout to my daily routine.
