BACK ON TRACK | DAY 22 OF 90

I let myself go these last few days and gained back 4 pounds over the weekend. I have no excuse for what happened, I guess life happened. I am not perfect, although I strive to be perfect, but I fail at it sometimes. However, I am not defeated. I am determined to accomplish the goals I set for myself. I will pick myself up, start from where I left off, and I will keep going.

This morning I did a 30-minute kettlebell workout and planned out a full day of healthy eating. I am going to practice the Confucian teaching of “Chi Fan Qi Fen Bao”, eat until 70% full. I am also going to be more mindful when I am eating, and eat slowly. Studies have shown that it can take up to 20 minutes for our brain to figure out that we are full. So, eating slowly will give my brain enough time to register that I am actually full. Oh, and no more YouTube videos during meals.

I got this. I know I got this!
