It’s been a while since I wrote about this challenge. Needless to say, this, has been a CHALLENGE for sure. Today marks the half way of my 90-day challenge, and I have only lost 1/3 of my goal weight.
Did I get discouraged? No. I was disappointed, but not discouraged. I kept a pretty detailed, an almost daily weight and caloric intake record. Looking back at the journey, I can see some areas needed change. I measured myself on June 11th, and I was happy to see that I have lost inches even though the pounds seem to come off very slowly.
I’ve decided to make some changes to my eating habits:
- Be stricter about practicing 16:8 intermittent fasting.
- No refined carbs after 5:00 pm. Leafy vegetables and limited fruits are fine.
- Increase my protein intake to at least 40%.
I have been pretty consistent with my workouts. Although I do have to admit that it has been harder now that I realized my weight loss has not been as fast as I’d liked. Oh well, I still have to push on no matter what. I do believe the inches lost were results of my workouts.
I am not defeated. I will continue to learn about my body and make adjustments when needed. I already eat better and exercising more than when I started. Therefore, no effort was wasted. I am optimistic about the next 45 days!
